MEET CAITLIN CROWLEY
“I’ve worked with Caitlin on music videos as well as documentary and narrative film projects; she’s a dedicated, versatile, and intuitive artist and brings great energy to every set. Any production would be lucky to have her behind the lens.”
- Katie Small, writer of ‘Tooth Hurty’, client through CareOregon
Caitlin is a queer filmmaker, editor and mixed media artist originally from South Florida, now based in Portland, Oregon. With a gritty, emotionally resonant approach to storytelling, Caitlin brings a sharp eye and an empathetic lens to stories often overlooked. She holds a Master’s degree in Multimedia Journalism from the University of Oregon and has several years of experience in cinematography, editing, and post-production.
Caitlin served as Head of Production at ZP Productions, where she led creative projects for organizations such as the ACLU of Oregon, Habitat for Humanity, and the San Diego LGBT Center. She also assisted post-production on the feature length documentary ‘Within Reach: The Fight to Finish Cancer’ which was nominated for a regional Emmy by the Northwest chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
Caitlin has served as the Director of Photography on narrative short films and music videos, and received accolades for her sound design and editing.
Caitlin’s storytelling centers queer resilience and joy. Her latest project, A Florida of Our Own, is a vibrant and defiant documentary set in her home state. Against the backdrop of rising anti-LGBTQ+ legislation in the South, the film uplifts the voices of queer Floridians who are refusing to be erased— because Florida has been, and always will be, for us.
